Youth Ministry

U.    M.    Y.     F.

(United Methodist Youth Fellowship)

The church is very proud of its ministry to and through our young people.  We invite and strive to actively involve all middle school and high school students in our church to participate in our programs, and their leadership is an essential part of this church's overall ministry.

Wednesdays
Recharge Sessions (6:30 pm - 7:30 pm). This is a time of study, reflection, worship to "recharge" our batteries and to help us get through the week.  Middle and high schoolers split into two groups and have a time of devotion and reflection as well as share in our fun-filled lives.

Sundays
Worship Services at 8:30 am, 9:00 am and 11:00 am.  Our 8:30 am and 11:00 am services are traditional in nature and beautiful in their handling of music and scripture. The 9:00 service entitled Good News at Nine offers a contemporary flair to worship with the inclusion of drama, music played by a rock band and multi-media devices.  We feel it is essential to worship God freely and offer many opportunities to do this in our church.

Middle and High School Sunday School in the Averill House (10 am - 10:50 am).  We use curriculum which connects our experience of life and popular culture to our experience of God's word in scripture.  Our teachers are great, and innovative, so don't miss this time of growing in faith.

SUNDAY EVENING SCHEDULE
3:30 - 6:00 p.m.
We have youth wind band practice each Sunday afternoon starting at 3:30.  From there, we split up into age-based groups to do fun activities.  A field trip is always a possibilty so be prepared to have fun.  Youth always have a say in what we do during these afternoon sessions.
